Homeslice is an extremely unique restaurant in the heart of downtown Chicago, a gathering place to watch a football game over appetizers, enjoy a family pizza night, or even a weekend brunch (complete with mimosas, of course!) Homeslice really goes above and beyond your average pizza joint by immersing guests in an indoor patio equipped with foosball tables, fireplaces, and photo ops, making it possible for tailgate season to last all year long! In true tailgate fashion, my family decided to split a variety of appetizers--the charcuterie board, the buratta, and the chips and salsa. Starting off with the charcuterie board: I enjoyed the selection of cheeses, with the Brie being my favorite. A tiny pot of fig jam was included on the board, and it complemented every cheese perfectly, adding a hint of sweetness, not overpowering but instead enhancing the flavors of the cheese. My only critique is that there were not enough crackers/crostini for all four people. The buratta appetizer was a crowd favorite at my table, and we especially enjoyed the crostini that came with it. Usually, I view those types of things as merely vessels for toppings or dips, but this crostini stood out on its own. I loved the blend of seasonings and the melted cheese on top! I was a little skeptical of ordering chips and salsa when we weren't at a Mexican restaurant, but I'm glad we took a chance on them! The salsa was packed with fresh vegetables, not watery at all. The chips were great, too, we even tried them topped with buratta! One thing I find really neat about Homeslice is that they serve brunch every weekend from opening to 3:30 pm. Everything on the brunch menu looked very appealing, especially the breakfast-inspired spins on their signature tavern-style pizza. Homeslice is such an amazing restaurant that is perfect for any occasion, and I am so glad that a Yelp search led me to it!

I think this is the perfect spot for comfort food during the winter. Grilled cheese and tomato soup are spot on. The kale salad is awesome as well!

A great do-it-all spot! A little pricy for the quality, but very kid and pet friendly, and tons of space! We ordered the Webster salad and Special K pizza. The salad is definitely more of a pasta salad, but was really tasty and great texture regardless!! Special K pizza was good, but overall just appreciated the variety of pizzas they have! Service staff is really busy, but no doubt doing their best and so kind!!

Omg. No...like omg. Every single crumb was incredible. From the pizza to the salads to the drinks...so yummy. Service, check. Cool Chicago locations, check. Honey mustard dressing that I can bathe in, check! lol kidding not kidding! See you in the next visit!

Fantastic outdoor space! Really good drinks including beers and fun cocktails. Really good food with their starters and lots of good pizza options. Service is attentive and quick. Really a good spot to watch a sports game with your pals. Will definitely be back!

It's always a good time when we make it here. I'm a big fan of the goat stix. This time I tried an espresso martini and was surprised and delighted to learn that the foam is not dairy, but somehow chickpeas. Don't knock it till you try it. It's pretty good. I also enjoyed the Cali salad. They understand what an entrée salad should be and totally nail it without having to add on anything. Service was excellent. Sat and sort of an indoor outdoor space that was really great. The only downside is it's so so so loud when the train goes by you get used to it and just kind of naturally but it's something to keep in mind. Free, easy street parking!

Great vibes, great service, delicious gluten-free pizza and plentiful drink options. I look forward to returning when I'm on campus!

Two years later and I'm still giving Homeslice a 5/5! I truly love this place. The food is consistently good, the menu is extensive, the service is great, the place is cute with its decor, and they have tonssssss of seating outside and inside. The cocktails here are so good too. My favorite items here are their elote dip, Gettin Figgy With It pizza, hummus plate, and jalapeño homies. They have too many pizzas to choose from I love them all! Definitely recommend this place for a fun summer vibe and drinks/food with friends.
